Global Outreach

One of the major objectives of the ACM SIGGRAPH Education Committee is to help establish a worldwide network of computer graphics educators.

Our international ACM SIGGRAPH Education Committee members have active roles in the planning and organization of education-related Computer Graphics events in several countries, which offers an excellent opportunity for us to exchange information and promote our ACM SIGGRAPH educational activities worldwide.

SIGGRAPH Asia 2008: A Platform for CG Educators Sharing Ideas

ACM SIGGRAPH successfully kicked off its first SIGGRAPH Asia conference in Singapore during December 10th to 13th 2008. The official report showed that more than 3200 attended and 49 countries were involved in this creatively inspired conference. About 80 percent of the attendance came from Asia-Pacific countries, including Australia and New Zealand.

Edutainment 2007

Edutainment 2007 is the 2nd International Conference on E-learning and Games. It is an international forum for researchers to share the developments and applications for e-learning and digital entertainment systems. Edutainment 2007 will be held at the Chinese University of Hong Kong on June 11-13, 2007. The conference will include plenary invited talks, workshops, tutorials, paper presentation tracks, and panel discussions.

South America Activities Report 2006

One of the objectives of the ACM SIGGRAPH Education Committee is to help establish a world wide network of computer graphics educators. The Education Committee began its activities in South America in 1991, with the goal of encouraging and promoting exchanges among academics involved in Computer Graphics in South America.
