Visualization Curriculum Workshop

On May 19, 2012, a „Visualization Curriculum Workshop“ was held at the University of Cagliari, Sardinia, sponsored by the SIGGRAPH Education Committee. It was a follow-up on the Visualization Curriculum Panel at Eurographics 2012. Participants were David Ebert, Beatriz Sousa Santos, Holly Rushmeier and Gitta Domik.

Undergraduate Faculty Enhancement Workshop in Scientific Visualization

This is a one-week workshop for faculty at undergraduate institutions who want to learn about the new field of Scientific Visualization. The workshop is oriented towards those faculty who want to teach Scientific Visualization as either a complete course or as a module in another course, e.g. computer graphics.

Focusing on the Physical and Natural Sciences

This course demonstrates the application of visualization tools and interactive techniques for examination and interpretation of scientific datasets. Highly illustrative atmospheric, oceanographic, and geographic examples are demonstrated in real time.
