13th Annual Faculty Submitted Student Work Exhibit

The Faculty Submitted Student Work, or FSSW, is an online archive of assignment and project briefs as well as an exhibition of the student work created for those projects. Sponsored by the ACM SIGGRAPH Education Committee and designed as a way for educators to share their project ideas across schools and disciplines, this annual exhibition of work during the SIGGRAPH conference also offers a venue for participants to see the student work. The exhibit video will be screened at Siggraph 2024 in Denver. All project briefs and slides of student work are available on the exhibit page.

These images and videos were submitted as the best examples of student work done for projects and assignments for the 2023-2024 school year. The exhibit was open to all faculty working at Secondary/High School through University levels.

All assignment materials are licensed under the Creative Common Attribution - NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0.

Convocatoria de participación: 13ª Exposición anual de trabajos de estudiantes presentados por profesores

Patrocinada por el Comité de Educación de ACM SIGGRAPH.

Es un placer informarles nuestro interés en sus proyectos y en los mejores trabajos realizado por sus estudiantes.

Las imágenes, vídeos y trabajos se expondrán en el stand del Comité de Educación durante la conferencia SIGGRAPH 2024 en Denver. Tenga en cuenta que los trabajos se archivarán en el sitio web de educación después de la conferencia.

Cualquier área de contenido relacionada con los gráficos de computación y las técnicas interactivas es bienvenida. Por ejemplo: arte, animación, diseño gráfico, diseño de juegos, arquitectura, visualización, renderizado en tiempo real, etc.

PROCESO DE SELECCIÓN:

Las presentaciones serán curadas en un video de exhibición de la conferencia de aproximadamente 60-90 minutos para enfatizar la variedad del trabajo de los estudiantes y las facultades/escuelas representadas. La exposición será una muestra del contenido disponible en el sitio web, ya que todos los proyectos que se hayan presentado correctamente se publicarán en el sitio web del Comité de Educación junto con las correspondientes asignaciones de proyectos para compartir con los compañeros de la facultad.

REQUISITOS DE PRESENTACIÓN:

Debe ser presentado por parte del profesorado. (No se aceptan presentaciones individuales de estudiantes.)

El contenido presentado no debe infringir los derechos de autor de terceros ni ningún otro derecho de propiedad, y cada miembro del profesorado debe cumplimentar un formulario de autorización de ACM.
En el caso de las facultades situadas en EE. UU., deberán presentarse formularios de autorización FERPA firmados por los estudiantes para que su nombre figure en las etiquetas del trabajo. Sin la autorización FERPA, el trabajo podrá mostrarse, pero el nombre del estudiante no podrá incluirse en la etiqueta y no se incluirán en el archivo enlaces a las versiones acreditadas
La(s) asignación(es) del trabajo presentado por el estudiante DEBEN acompañar a todos los vídeos e imágenes presentados. Se prefiere el formato PDF. No se aceptarán los trabajos de los alumnos que no vayan acompañados de las tareas correspondientes.

FSSWはACM SIGGRAPH教育委員会により教員の皆様のために始められました。

FSSWでは、授業での課題と、その課題で制作された学生作品を募集しております。

選ばれた課題作品は今年デンバーで開催されるSIGGRAPH 2024カンファレンスにおいて教育委員会ブースで展示発表され、その資料はACM SIGGRAPH教育委員会のWebページにアーカイブされます。

コンピュータグラフィックスとインタラクティブ技術に関連するコンテンツ領域、デジタルアート、アニメーション、グラフィックデザイン、ゲームデザイン、建築、ビジュアライゼーション、リアルタイムレンダリングなどの課題と学生作品を募集しております。

この募集は中学校、高校から大学、専門学校で教えるすべての教員に開かれています。まず、課題とその課題に対する優良な提出作品を選んでご応募ください。応募された課題と作品は、ACM SIGGRAPH教育委員会FSSWの審査を経たものが展示されます。

学生作品が多くの人に鑑賞され、あなたの学校や学科について知ってもらう良い機会となることを願っております。

応募作品は多様な学校と作品を集めた60〜90分の動画に編集されます。作品は多くの教員の方の参考となるように、課題の内容と共に教育委員会のWebページに掲載されます。

応募方法

教員の方からの応募のみとなります（学生からの応募は不可）
応募の学生作品は、過去２年間に制作され、今まで応募されたことの無いものに限ります
応募内容は著作権など権利に問題のないものに限り、教員の方はACM Release Formの提出が必要です
アメリカ合衆国の学校は、作品に学生名を表示するために、各学生から氏名、作品名を含む署名されたFERPA Release Formが必要です。FERPA Release Formが無い場合、作品の展示は可能ですが、学生名の表示、アーカイブで個人の名前を含むバージョンへのリンクはありません。
課題の内容を必ず提出してください。応募される全ての画像、映像に、その作品が制作される元となった課題が必要です。PDF形式が推奨フォーマットです。課題がない作品のみの応募は受け付けられません。

Call for Participation: 13th Annual Faculty Submitted Student Work Exhibition

Sponsored by the ACM SIGGRAPH Education Committee.

We are interested in your project assignments and the best examples of the work done by your students for that assignment.

Images, videos, and assignments to be displayed at the Education Committee booth during the SIGGRAPH 2024 conference in Denver. The materials will be archived on the education website after the conference.

Any content area related to computer graphics and interactive techniques; art, animation, graphic design, game design, architecture, visualization, real-time rendering, etc.

The double-curated exhibit is open to all faculty working at Secondary/High School through University levels.

This is a wonderful opportunity for your students and school to get more exposure and to celebrate all the great work that gets created!!

PROCESS:

Submissions will be curated into a conference exhibition video of approximately 60-90 minutes to emphasize the variety of student work and faculty/schools represented. The exhibit will be a taste of the content available on the website as all of the projects that were properly submitted will be posted on the Education Committee website along with the corresponding project assignments to share with fellow faculty.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

By Faculty - No individual student submissions accepted
Student work should have been completed within the prior two years and not been submitted previously
Content submitted should not infringe on any third party's copyright(s) or other proprietary right(s) whatsoever and each faculty member needs to complete one ACM Release Form (linked from the submission form)
For schools located in the US, student signed FERPA release forms must be submitted for each student to have their name included in the labels of the work. Without a FERPA release the work can be shown but the students name can not be included in the label and no links to credited versions will be included in the archive
Assignment(s) of submitted student work MUST accompany all video(s) and image(s) submitted. PDF format preferred. Student work will NOT be accepted without corresponding assignments.
All submissions should use the provided PowerPoint Template and can be downloaded here:

- To see examples of how to fill out information refer to last year’s exhibit
Still Images
- Images should be placed in the PowerPoint template
- Labels must be filled in
- Preferred resolution 1280x720 (RGB, JPG/TIFF/PNG format)
- A LIMIT of 10 images per assignment/project will be used in the exhibit
Video
- Please upload all videos to either YouTube.com or Vimeo.com preferably allowing them to be downloadable
- URLs should be placed in the PowerPoint template
- Please DO NOT embed actual videos
- Screen captures or a representative still image of the video should be included in the powerpoint
- Labels must be filled in
- Preferred resolution 1280x720 or larger 16:9 aspect ratio format.
- Audio can be included (*make sure it does not violate 3rd party copyrights)
- A LIMIT of 2 minutes of video per assignment/project will be used in the exhibit
  - You can edit multiple student pieces into a reel for that assignment having a maximum length of 2 minutes and provide a slide for each student work and include a link to either each piece in its entirety or for the reel or both. If a reel is not created the curator may make selections of one or more pieces not to exceed 2 minutes per assignment
- Videos will be downloaded and embedded in the final PowerPoint and screened at the conference throughout the week. After the conference, the still image and URL provided will replace the videos in a downloadable PDF version of the PowerPoint located on our site.
Labels for all images and videos include:
- Assignment/Project name
- Student name(s) only if signed FERPA release is included
- Faculty name(s)
- Course name(s)
- School name(s)

SpaceTime 2024: Call for Submissions

The ACM SIGGRAPH Education Committee sponsors the SpaceTime juried international student art/design competition and online exhibition for 2024. The vehicle for this competition is a graphic poster for SIGGRAPH designed around the theme “the future of computer graphics and interactive techniques.”

The competition provides an excellent opportunity for students to exhibit their computer-based creative work. A selection of international jurors will judge entries based on the solution of the theme, relevance to SIGGRAPH, artistic merit, design quality, originality, technical excellence and content.

Selected works may be exhibited by the ACM SIGGRAPH Education Committee at the SIGGRAPH 2024 conference in Denver, Colorado and/or the SIGGRAPH Asia 2024 conference in Tokyo, Japan, online on the Education Committee website, and in promotional materials.

The first place winner will receive full conference registration. Two runners up will receive 50% off conference registration.

Submission Requirements

One entry per student.
A minimal use of text is recommended.
A signed FERPA (United States Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1984) is required to be uploaded with the submission form.

The deadline for submission is May 15, 2024.

Submissions must not use the intellectual property of others and respect all copyrights. Specifically, name/image/likeness (NIL) of products and people belong to the respective owner(s) and not the submitting artist. Any incorporation or use of recognizable products and/or trademarks will disqualify a submission. While generic examples of products may be shown (as well as original designs by the submitting artist), student artists are not permitted to use a product that can be easily identified with a specific company regardless or whether or not the trademarked name is used
