EDXR 2019 is a meeting/workshop on Education and Extended Reality. EDXR 2019 addresses current topics in teaching XR application and content development, including how educators are approaching XR development, best practices, guiding student XR projects, XR curriculum and class development, actual techniques, and the future direction of this field. The meeting features a talk by the pioneer of this field, Dr. Jacki Morie, discussions and hands-on workshop on VR techniques.

At this year's SIGGRAPH, Committee member Glenn Goldman (New Jersey Institute of Technology) moderated the session Preparing Students to Take the Next Step: School to Work Transition (Demo Reels and Beyond), an Educators’ Forum panel with industry representatives speaking about what students need to do in order to facilitate their entry into industry.
